A woman who went from a size 24 to a size 16 after dropping 70 pounds with the help of weight-loss medication has revealed that people started treating her 'better' after the number on the scale went down.
Samantha Jo, 26, is a Florida-based content creator who frequently posts about her day-to-day life on her Instagram account, where she has garnered more than 381,000 followers.
Recently, the influencer - who once tipped the scales at 310 pounds - got candid with her fans and opened up about her weight-loss journey as she has been trying to heal from a binge-eating disorder.
After gaining 30 pounds in the span of two months and feeling 'gross' in her body, Samantha, decided it was time to make a change and began taking the weight loss drug Zepbound, however, she had no idea that shedding pounds would leave her feeling confused about who her true friends were.

In a YouTube video, Samantha revealed that she is now a size 16 for the first time since high school.
She said that the way she felt about her life shifted on her 25th birthday.
'When I turned 25, for some reason the rest of my life was put in perspective. I realized I didn't want to live the rest of my 20s like this,' she explained.
After going through a significant period of binging, she gained 30 pounds in the span of two months and couldn't even scratch her own back due to her weight. It was then that she realized she needed a change.
Despite having tried to lose weight in the past, she had no luck because she struggles with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), which makes it 'more difficult to lose weight.'
She decided to embark on her weight-loss journey because she felt 'gross in her own skin,' 'hated existing,' and she was 'physically' uncomfortable.
Samantha began taking Zepbound, which she describes as 'just a tool.'
'This medicine is not a magic fix all,' she admitted.

She lifted the lid on what aspects of her life the weight-loss drug has helped her in - including removing her 'food noise.'
The influencer explained: 'It helps my cravings a lot so I'm able to eat smaller portions.
'I don't sit and think about food 24/7 anymore.
'For my entire adult life and maybe a chunk of my teen years my world has revolved around food.
'I used to think it was a primal thing, obviously yes I still think about food sometimes that's normal when you're hungry, you're going to think about food.
'But I woke up thought about food, as I was thinking about my breakfast, I was thinking about my lunch and my dinner and every moment of the day was taken up by food and that was something I thought everybody dealt with and had.
'I just thought other people were better at controlling it than me. I had no idea how quiet your mind could be without the food noise, that's one of the biggest things this medicine has fixed for me and has freed me from is food noise.'
Samantha explained that after having dropped the weight, she was still trying to re-center herself and her relationship with food.
She explained that while she wasn't following a strict diet, she was making sure to eat more 'intuitively.'
'I feel like I'm able to eat what I want and not obsess over food and my next meal. I'm really focusing on healing my relationship with food,' she said.

Since losing weight, she hasn't had migraines and has had regular periods again.
Samantha also shared that she was now able to shower without any pain.
She added: 'Washing myself in the shower has gotten so much easier.'
Samantha said that shedding off the weight had helped her relationship with other people, but she listed it as a 'negative' aspect of her weight loss.
'People are starting to be nicer to me this is something I have noticed,' she said.
'I don't think we should be treating people differently based on their weight and to start to see the difference in the way people talk about me, leave comments about me.'
She also revealed that her engagement on TikTok and Instagram has 'skyrocketed' since dropping pounds.
